The 10,000 people, who annually  take part in the  Torchlight Christmas Walk (Marche de Noël aux flambeaux) will be joined by costumed characters and three choirs sing holiday classics from balconies along the route.

You can bring your own candle, or purchase one at the starting point, Compagnons Park (corner of Mont-Royal and Cartier avenues), for $2, or exchange non-perishable foodstuffs for a candle. Or both, since the funds raised go to the food bank Moisson Montreal.
