As a child I would spend hours playing with the train around our Christmas tree village. Fascinated with the colourful lights on the train as it circled the artificial snow cover village.
Canadian Pacific as taken the idea of the Christmas train one step further, and for a most noteworthy cause. For this reason, and to allow time to prepare your donation, we deliver to you, a Christmas notice in mid October.
For the 20th year the CP Holiday Train will soon set out once again to entertain hundreds of thousands of people, while collecting food and raising funds for food banks across North America.
The CP Holiday Train program launched in 1999 and has since raised more than C$14.5 million and gathered 4.3 million pounds of food for communities along CP’s routes in Canada and the United States.
The Canadian Train (There is also an American train) will depart Montreal on November 27. Kelly Prescott will join three time Juno award-winner Terri Clark and Sierra Noble to spread holiday cheer.
