Ex-Montrealer Kamala Harris enters race for US President in 2020
Democratic Senator Kamala Harris of California announced on Monday that she is running for the 2020 presidential race.
Kamala was born in California but moved to Montreal when she was seven and attended Westmount high school.
Her campaign will focus on reducing the high cost of living, pursuing immigration and criminal justice changes and a Medicare-for-all healthcare system. She has said she will reject corporate political action committee money. Source: Global News
