Nuit Blanche, Montreal overnight party gets underway this evening with over 200 activities offered to the public, most of which are free of charge. With so much to do and so little time, approximately 12 hours, we will be sharing throughout the day some of our favourites, to help you plan your night.
First on the list is public transportation, the STM is running the Metro all night, also there are free shuttle buses which travel through primary locations of the festival. The last thing you want to spend your time in is looking for parking, stuck in traffic and drinking and driving.
The free outdoor Place des Festivals located at Quartier des Spectacles is one of the best places to start your Nuit Blanche activities. With dozens of activities, performances, and events suitable for a variety of age groups make there is sure to be something for everyone.
You can soar above the party crowd on a Zip-line, roast marshmallows while relaxing on an Adirondack chair, or enjoying the lights and music from above on the Ferris Wheel.
Just a few reasons why the Quartier des Spectacles is a good bet for a starting and meeting point.
The festival’s popularity is also its shortcoming, in the form of the sizeable lineups for the more popular indoor events, such as the Zip-line. So you and your friends will need to choose wisely, how to invest your time.
