Two months after a fire took it out of business, Montreal’s favorite Portuguese chicken rotisserie Ma Poule Mouillée will reopen this morning at 9 a.m.

The family operated restaurant had closed in early January after an extensive fire caused approximately $100,000 of damage. In an interview with Our MUHC, owner Tony Alves stated that the two-month time frame was necessary to ensure the renovations were done properly, because we wanted to maintain our standard of quality and service.

Lineups of locals and tourists will likely occur today at the street corner of Boyer and Rachel, as connoisseurs of Portuguese chicken anticipated the reopening of the famed restaurant.

Ma Poule Mouillée reopens this Wednesday, March 6 at 969 Rachel East
9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
