The Top Reason Why We Should and Keep Daylight Saving Time

Most of us become upset in November when the clocks are set back one hour cutting short our sunlit evenings. Incorrectly, this is often blamed on Daylight Saving Time, when in fact the culprit is standard time.

Depending on where you live in the world, Daylight Saving Time usually starts in March-April and ends in September-November when the countries return to standard time.

If we abolish standard time and remain all year long on DST, our long darker winter evenings would be sixty minutes brighter. Therefore, we prepose to permanently replace standard time with Daylight Saving Time.

The time change takes place on Sunday at 2 a.m., when clocks spring forward by one hour.

The rule of thumb to help us remember DST is “spring forward”, is always at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday in March to maximize the warm evenings and “fall back” which happens on the first Sunday of November to make the cooler mornings brighter.
