Yesterday morning the temperature in Montreal was a record breaking minus-15 Celsius (Minus-26 with the wind chill.) The previous record was set in 1972, when the low was minus-14.4C.

Average temperatures for this time of the year are between 3 C and minus-4 C.

Despite the record freezing temperature this Thursday, we were warmer than the people living in  Thomsen River, located in the Northwest Territories of Canada, who saw there temperature drop to minus-38 C.  The coldest in Canada.
